Colour Finder Tool

Introduction

Our Colour Finder Tool allows you to select the exact colour codes from your own local images using our eyedropper tool and generate a Colour Theme Palette with 6 different colours from your image. It will also extract the five most prominent colours within the image and calculate the average colour.

The Colour Finder Tool will extract colours in the following formats;

It should be noted here that when a colour name is returned, our app will find the closest matching colour to one of the 140 web colour names that are supported by all modern browsers. With this in mind, for the sake of the accuracy of the colours, it is recommended that you do not rely on the colour name format.

Instruction

Click/Tap on the Select Image button in the application and select the local image from your device that you would like to extract the colours from. If the image loaded is too small or too large, then you can toggle the Scale Image slider to best suit your image. Click/Tap the image on the exact pixel containing the colour that you would like to extract from the image.

A new Colour Palette will be generated for every image that you load. Along with a list of prominent colours found in the image and the image's average colour. Clicking/Tapping on these colours will open a popup containing the colour codes in the supported formats listed above.
